EMFields VAT Information - EHS Exemption
ES individuals get VAT exemptions on certain products as from 2nd October 2007
Declaration required prior to shipment
Please note that this change is not retrospective (you can not claim VAT back for any products you have ordered in the past), and that we need this declaration before we are able to supply the product(s) zero-rated for VAT.
If you suffer from EHS (Electrical Hypersensitivity), and you are buying a bed canopy, earthing sheet or a headnet, you may not need to pay VAT.
If you send us the declaration below, completed with both your personal details and details of your order (an email copy is fine), we are able to supply the above items zero rated. HMRC (Revenue and Customs) has recognised EHS as a disability and therefore these products only can be supplied to 'disabled' persons without VAT added. This is a major step in recognising EHS as a disabling condition by a government body.
What does this mean?
Fill out the form, email or post it to us. Phone us with your order between 10 a.m and 12 noon Mondays to Fridays, and we will supply the product zero rated for VAT. Alternatively, tick the box in your profile declaring you to be electrosensitive, and place your order online. VAT will not be charged on exemptable items.
How much can I save?
It depends on the product you are buying. To work it out, look at the price quoted on the webpage - To work out how much VAT is included, you have to divide by 1.2 (20% being the current VAT rate). This will tell you the price without VAT.
At the moment only the bed canopies, earthing sheets and headnets are totally zero-rated but at least it's a start!
Alternatively, use copy & paste to copy the text below into an email, complete the relevant sections and email it to us.
